Teen Mom 2 is an American reality television series which
premiered January 11, 2011, on MTV.It follows the lives of four girls from
the second season of 16 and Pregnant as they navigate their first years of
motherhood. The series also focuses on the themes of their changing
relationships between family, friends, and boys, while highlighting the struggles
young mothers have to go through to raise their children.
Leah Messer has been living with her four-year-old
daughter's developmental delays since she was born.
The Teen Mom 2 star recently learned the heartbreaking
reason is that Aliannah suffers from a rare and incurable form of muscular
dystrophy and will probably be forced to use a wheelchair. Despite the fact
that Aliannah is able to walk right now, Messer noted that she will eventually
have to use a wheelchair.
The new season of Teen Mom 2, which premiered on Tuesday on
MTV, will center of attention on Aliannah's diagnosis.
Aliannah and her twin sister Aleeah are Messer's children
from her marriage to Corey Simms, whom she divorced in 2011.
She and husband Jeremy Calvert welcomed daughter Addalynn
last February.
